The mission of Haggai Food Bank at Jesus House Birmingham is to provide hope by serving those within our immediate community. Our mission is to serve and transform lives by serving food, and clothing to those in need; to create a safe and loving environment where we can meet the basic needs and be a vital part of God’s plan to make a difference in the lives of all of humanity.
At Jesus House Birmingham Haggai Food Bank we currently provide food, free of charge, to families and individuals in need. People may receive assistance once every 30 days: usually on the first Saturday of every month starting at 12 noon. We serve over 200 people each month and the needs are growing. The Haggai Food Bank requires volunteers each month to process and give out over 1,000 pounds of food.
Guests to the Jesus House Birmingham Food Bank receive a bag of staple food items once per month. The Food Bank is run by the Haggai Ministry of our church.
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:17-18
